My sweet angel baby Sadie

In the spirit of hair, I was motivated to see what Jane would look like with straight hair. Pretty silly, i missed her curls instantly. Her wild crazy hair is so much a part of her personality.
Jane then wanted to do Katie's hair

Underwood farms is a place just down the street from us. It has loads of fresh fruit and veggies to purchase or to pick yourself. There is also fun things for the kids to do like train rides, pony rides, feeding and petting the animals. etc. We did this a few weeks ago, and Jane has been asking me over and over if we could go to the farm.
Erica's daughter June, and Jane on the train. I absolutely love their curls blowing in the wind.
"Mom, can I have a strawberry? " What a mess

It was our 6 year wedding anniversary on the 30th. We were fortunate enough to have my parents watch the girls while we flew to NYC.
Excuse the pictures of pictures, but our wedding took place before we had digital camera's.

HANDSOME STUD!

Wedding

We took a big labor day vacation this year! We made it back to NYC for a wedding. Todd's friend from highschool got married. It was wonderful to get to see old friends. We obviously don't make it out there very often, but we were so glad we could.
All the boys! Drew (in the light suit) was the groom
On the dance floor!
Not on the dance floor (which is where we spend most of our time).

Sparta, NJ

Todd grew up in a "magical" town in New Jersey named Sparta. It was beautiful and charming. This was the first time I had been to his home town. We stayed with Greg (his best buddy growing up)and his wife at his parents house. This was literally their backyard.
Todd grew up in this house!

Manhattan

We got to spend a day in the city.
David Beckham's billboard, in his underwear was gigantic, but that is not why we took the picture. This building was the fist big sky scraper in New York City.

American Idol

I found these pictures in my mom's camera from back when she used to watch American Idol with us. These pictures might be on E! True Hollywood Story some day after she becomes a big star.

My new bike

I got a new bike this week. I LOVE IT. I also got a trailer, so I can pull the girls behind me. This is a picture of the exact bike I bought. It's a special hybrid bike with road tires and a lightweight frame, but it has mountain bike handle bars. I think that will be best since I am pulling the girls. They love riding with me too. Jane hollers out "WEEEEE" whenever we go down hills. It's an extra 50lb's to carry around too. I am hoping I will feel super light when I am actually alone with it.

Life without a camera

Just a quick update... I wish I had some pictures to post, but the camera is still broken. SO I thought I would update on what we have been doing. Last weekend Todd completed the Lake Arrowhead triathlon. We stayed there overnight in the lodge hotel. This was the first time we all slept in the same room as a family (and Todd's friend was in there with us because he did the triathlon too). I must say it went really well. We bought Jane one of those little couches that fold out into a bed. You buy them at ToysRus, but they are lightweight and portable. We all slept well considering. That is not the big news though, Todd is a big stud! I love watching these races he does, because he is usually right near the front and I can cheer for my spouse before anyone around me gets a chance to cheer for theirs. He did it in 1 hr and 8 minutes which crushed his time from last year. Here is the next piece of big news... He talked me into doing one. I do not know how he did that, but let's just say that the next few months of favors he's dishing out will make it worth it. My race is Oct 4th. If you never see another blog after that it will be because I have drowned. I don't swim because I don't like the chlorine in swimming pools to ruin my hair! The last time I swam laps was in 1998 in a mandatory college swim class. The time before that was in 10th grade. I was motivated after watching his race though, and I would like to get into that kind of shape, so wish me luck.

Sisters

The two pictures on top are Jane and the two on the bottom are Sadie. They are just about the same age and wearing the same thing. I see quite a few similarities but also many differences. They have the same pointy chin, with completely different shaped heads. Sadie has more hair, but has only held on to a dark bushel on top and around the back and sides. She looks like she has male pattern baldness.

July 3rd celebration

Moorpark has fireworks on the 3rd of July so that they don't interfere with other town celebrations. They really put on quite a show. This is Jane's cotton candy, she is savoring the very last bit of it because her mom has a huge thing for cotton candy and ate almost all of it. Her cousin Naomi was there and she made sure she got in on the goodies. Sophie is Jane's favorite friend (the cutie in the red dress). I know I am slow to post these pictures, but enjoy them because our camera broke. I took a while to post these because our battery charger got wet and ruined the battery too. Then I tested it and put it in the camera, which I think messed it up as well. We ordered all these new parts from random websites (which I now do not recommend), basically I think we need a new camera now...bummer. Good thing we have a video camera. Unfortunately I have tried and tried to figure out how to transfer data from the camcorder to my blog and I cannot. I won't give up though.

My happy girl

Sadie is 4 months now. She weighs 12 lbs, and is long and lean. She is absolutely an angel. I don't know what I did to deserve this little gal, but she is so calm and pleasant. She sleeps for 11 hours at night then I feed her and she goes right back down for another 3 hours. She naps well during the day, and she can sit and chill for more time than I could ever imagine Jane ever doing. She is making the transition from one to two kids so wonderful. I love this litte doll!

A Walk Down Memory Lane...

I saw this on my on my friend Nikki's blog, and thought it was fun to reminisce a bit, here's a few instructions if you should feel inclined...

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you. If you don't want to play on your blog, or if you don't have a blog, I'll leave my memory of you in my comments.

I've been tagged

It is ok that I got tagged, sorry it took so long. I haven't been posting because my camera battery and charger got wet, and they don't work anymore. That very week Jane dumped a cup of water on my phone. We all know what happens to phones that get wet. I need to make a trip to Verizon today!

Joys:

Weekends! Then Todd is home with us. I probably try to plan too much for a Saturday, when Todd really just wants to relax, but I love being together as a family.

When Jane comes in our room after she wakes up in the morning. She usually stands there at the side of my bed waiting for me to notice her. I pretend not to, so she makes cute little whispering noises, which I usually also pretend not to hear. Then finally when she decides she is ready to get into my bed she pushes my nose in like it is a button. I jump and do this huge reaction that she loves and then we cuddle for about 30 minutes (as long as she will let me).

So, to totally contradict the first joy, I love alone time with Todd. We just got back from a 3 night stay at THE hotel at Mandalay Bay. The girls stayed with my parents. I highly recommend this to any couple. We had a great time, super food, and the pool was so relaxing. Maybe I should move this to #1 on the list... ?

Fears:

#1 by far would be losing a loved one. I don't even want to think about it, so let's move on.

I also fear airplanes. I can do it because I have to sometimes, but nearly every moment is fearful.

I am afraid to some day get asked to be a sunday school teacher for the adults at church. I think that would be pretty scary!

Goals:

To be a good mom, wife, friend, and family member.... there are 4 goals.

Current Obsessions:

I am trying to keep my house really clean. After 4 months of bedrest and not being able to keep things up and also not doing anything on my own... I actually want to now. I will admit this is an obsession that doesn't always happen, but it I am obsessed in my mind, it really bothers me if it isn't clean.

I am obsessed with the Bachelorette. Too bad it is over, and too bad Jeremy didn't win. I want him to be the next Bachelor.

When I get going I am obsessed with the book I am reading. This was not me a few years ago, I used to hate to read. I liked watching TV for entertainment better. Somewhere along the line I started to feel like a lazy bum if I even watched 1 tv program. I can read around the kids too, and then I am still a good example. If I watch tv around them, then they want to. But I like it if they want to read!

I will post some pics when I get my camera back up and working
