Half Marathon

Over the last few months Katie and I have had the pleasure of training with my Dad for a few racing events.  It started out with 5ks, then we did a sprint triathlon.  Each new step we pushed him toward seemed insurmountable at first, but he trained really hard and has great drive and strength.  After finishing his triathlon he realized it wasn't that tough.  So we talked him into the next big step.  He'd never run more than a few miles in his life.  I have the best memories as a kid running around town with my Dad, so it was special to me to be able to do this as an adult.  All that training nursed me back to health after Clay and got my Dad in the best shape (Katie was a machine from the get go).  So this past Saturday was the big day.  I'm so proud of him and it was a great time!
