My child is being introduced to potty training. She has been telling me for months now when she goes in her diaper. However, if she is unable to understand the concept of using the toilet, why try? So lately I have felt like maybe she could give it a try, so I bought her a toilet, bribery candy, and we have been talking and talking about it. The result is this: she does not want to do it, but everything in her life has now become related to potty talk. I bought some shampoo to use on her hair now instead of just baby soap. She will only call it hair poo. Any dirt, smudge, fuzzy, garbage, leaves, etc. that she sees that is any shade of brown in also called pooh. Then the one that really makes us laugh is when we let her get in the hot tub. She gets in and starts to wander around on the step until she freezes and runs back... during this fit she is screaming water farts, water farts! It took us a little time to figure out that she was not farting in the water, but that she thought the water was farting on her. Turns out that what she was afraid of and calling water farts were the jets blowing water and air on her! I bet every family has funny potty training stories.
